Summer Street Apartments
New Construction of 15 units of workforce housing
Portland Builders partnered with Developers Collaborative and Archetype to provide a much-needed redevelopment of the T.W. Dick parcels on Summer Street in Gardiner, ME. 15 units of affordable workforce housing are now part of a city where more than three-quarters of the housing stock was built before 1979.
Originally founded in 1890, T.W. Dick Co. provided jobs to the area as a steel fabricator. The company closed in 2012 and the building and contents were auctioned off by the City of Gardiner in 2016. The parcel plays a strong role in helping to provide high quality redevelopment and setting a tone for the remaining Cobbossee Corridor for the City.
